Developmental Program K-4th Grade
Chartiers Valley Lacrosse will offer a developmental program for boys AND girls for
K-4th grades. Our plan is to have the kids meet one time per week for 1.5 hours (day
and time TBA) to learn the very basics of stick handling skills through fun instruction
and game-like drills. Depending on the numbers, young players will be split up
according to their skill level as best as possible to ensure proper progress!
Soft practice lacrosse balls will be used; all the aspiring young player needs is a stick
(be sure to get the correct stick for their gender) and a mouthpiece!
Occasionally, a very strong 4th grader may be able to move up to our 5th-6th grade team.
This greatly depends on experience, maturity, and numbers on that team and is
at the discretion of the coach.

Pre-Registration
Official registrations for the developmental team will not open up until March, however,
give us a heads up to plan the sessions by letting us know your interest below.
This will be a 6-8 week session beginning in April. The fee will be minimal and will
benefit the CVYG and CVYB lax programs. Players who complete the sessions will
receive a certificate and a tee shirt at the end of the season and get to attend the end
of season picnic with the youth and MS players!
Instructors will include varsity lax players, alumni CV players, and coaches from the
middle school & youth programs!
